My neighbour, Mick Ganly, gave me a large pear tree stump. I broke it up into pieces and made these 'pear pieces'.
Pear wood was used a lot for making models of ships before they were built. It does not smell of pears, sadly, is medium hard, and needs a lot of work to bring the colour out of
it.
'Pear Morandi' is a pun as well as a reference to the Italian painter. Morandi/brandy?
